The business provides manufacturing, fabricating and engineering services, mainly to the underground mining industry in Central Queensland. Its specialty and niche is Ventilation Control Devices (VCD), but it also supports mining structures, conveyors, quick detachments devices along with general engineering.
It has forecast revenues of about $1.4 to $1.6 million with a large portion already contracted.
Its workshop is self managed, fully equipped and staffed. It has well tried and tested managements systems and processes in place.
The business offers an opportunity to enter the industry with minimal costs and/or to expand to be closer and more responsive to the Galilee Basin developments where there are about four mines proposed, one of which is the Carmichael Mine.
An investment of around $300,000 (negotiable) plus WIP would be required to acquire the business. Plant and Equipment could be used to secure lending to minimize capital needed to acquire the business.
